How Do We Choose a Soulmate?

We have very specific requirements for choosing friends and acquaintances. They are formed by our personal pattern, a stereotype of behaviour and seem to attract us. This is a poorly realized process, but the eye will definitely distinguish one in a room where there will be 50 people. This also applies to friends. Our company is always the same ― certain personality types are around, others don’t get there. We don’t even meet them, we have different life rhythms: we wake up at different times, we travel in different vehicles and go to different places.

According to the results of the study, four types of intergender relationship building were identified.

  1. Marital and reproductive type

These are people who are focused on creating a family in which there will definitely be several children. Such types are immediately visible, as a rule, already in their youth. For instance, a girl enters the university for the sake of getting to know a suitable partner or to close the issue of education and no longer be distracted by “all sorts of nonsense” on the way to the cherished goal ― family.

In a marriage-reproductive family, as soon as a baby is born, parents already know which university he will enter, which courses will finish. There are no questions about why we don’t travel or go to a restaurant.

  1. Romantic type

This type tells how they were preparing to go camping. They will tell everything in thousands of small details. They talk only about this: about joint travels and adventures. Likewise, they are either going on a trip or discussing the upcoming one. This is the cement that glues their relationship. If one of the partners of the romantic type, for one reason or another, for instance, because of the birth of a child (and this is a big test for such a family) stops travelling, then they have problems.

  1. Informative type

These are couples whose relationships are based on the exchange of information from a common range of interests. It is in this relationship that an introvert and an extrovert easily get along: one brings information from the outside, the second is a subscriber to the Science journal.

  1. Hedonistic type

Life is only for pleasure: delicious food, expensive alcohol and interesting travelling. They live in such pleasures and do not find anything negative in it.
